CM Chouhan pitches MP for investments

Mumbai: The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday will interact with the Ambassadors of US, UK, UAE, Japan, Singapore, Israel, South Korea and other countries at New Delhi. The Chief Minister will invite them to attend the Global Investors' Summit (GIS) on January 11-12 in Indore.

Chouhan will urge the ambassadors to request the industrialists of their respective countries to participate in the Global Investors' Summit and invest in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister will meet major industrialists of India at Pune on October 21 and invite them to participate in the GIS. The UAE, Japan, or Singapore could become partner countries for the Global Investors Summit.

Talking to Bizz Buzz, John Kingsly, MD, MPSIDC (MP Industrial Development Corporation), said: "MP is a great place to invest as it provides a strong base for anyone planning to set up industry here. We are quite hopeful of getting good response from the investors during the forthcoming Global Investors' Summit."

The Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion will launch a portal focussing on Global Investors Summit on October 20. Industrialists can register themselves to participate in the Global Investor Summit through this portal.

After having initial dialogues with ambassadors of US, UK, UAE, Japan, Singapore, Israel, South Korea, the Chief Minister will plan his foreign tour. The forthcoming GIS will be the seventh edition of its own, six of them under the Shivraj government and the last one being held in Kamal Nath's Congress regime in October 2019. After two Covid-hit years, the MP government is aiming to brighten up its investment portfolio.
